Take a Hike Nanaimo program opened on Vancouver Island
We held our Community Leaders Breakfast in Nanaimo, joined by MLA Sheila Malcolmson
We expanded operations in the West Kootenays with additional KCLC youth being served

Burnaby youth Joaquin appeared on Global TV’s CKNW Kids’ Fund Pledge Day
Take a Hike Burnaby held their annual Holiday Lunch

We launched online programming for all Take a Hike youth and their families

We extended online clinical counselling to all Take a Hike youth throughout the summer, as well as to additional youth referred by our school district and community partners

We presented to the Select Standing Committee on Finance and Government Services, as part of the 2019 and the 2020 Budget Consultations, in October and in June

Youth participated in multi-day winter trips to the Tetrahedrons, Hollyburn Mountain, and Ripple Ridge, Creston

We expanded online counselling support to youth in partnering school districts and the wider community

With your help, we raised $236,686 for the COVID-19 Response & Recovery Fund providing 1,538 online counselling sessions in 5 months

Geoff Livingstone and Cam MacDougal hosted the premiere of their brilliant and beautiful documentary, Shorten the Divide, about their fundraising ride from Banff to Baha for Take a Hike kids

At our 14th Annual Moonlight Snowshoe, Coast Capital Savings announced a transformational gift to Take a Hike

Black Lives Matter movement inspired action, and commitment to education and change in Take a Hike youth & staff
